Finished some more books, um, and now I'm trying to remember what they were. Ah yes
Sherlock Holmes and the War of the Worlds - This book was awful and made me want to vomit. Pretty much that's all I can say about it. Only read it if you like Mrs. Hudson/Holmes for some ungodly reason.
Night Watch - Which I enjoyed rather more, and was written by the guy that did... Um, The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes, I think. Not bad - I have no idea who Father Brown is, but apparently he's some other literary detective of some sort, and he was also in the book. Interesting mystery, and includes Holmes getting shown up by Brown at the end of the book.
Selected Poems of E.E. Cummings - Maybe it's kind of a copout, but I did read almost 200 pages of poetry, which for me is like the biggest feat ever. I'm not so sure about the 'cubist' poems, but some of his work was really clever. I still like Walt Whitman more, but that's not saying much considering I usually rabidly despise poetry.
Currently I'm reading Ulysses, which is extremely slow going as I have to re-read sentences several times in order to parse their true meanings. So, Total: 38/50. I'll probably make 40, I've started Oriental Casebook at work.
Every friendslist I have is currently filled with Harry Potter. Personally I can't believe they're still making those movies. The 'kids' have got to be drinking age now, which at least could lead to fun tabloid type situations.
