Boy did I ever open that can of worms

So I have been taking 'notes' (more like hand writing huge chunks) of a Due South/Supernatural cross over that promises to be of epic size at this current point. Problem being, I don't think anyone really cares to see those two fandoms crossed. Or if there even is a Due South fandom anymore. I mean that's pretty old, obscure, and hard to obtain on DVD. Well, okay I have it, but I wish it had frigging subtitles or closed caption or something. Maybe some remastering, the quality is pretty 90's television.

We'll see if I can't finish it and I know I still owe [livejournal.com profile] rabbitprint the TF2 fic, which I swear I am working on, it's just all handwritten.

Who wants to come be cognomen's transcribist?

I'm certainly willing to help out. I was just over at the ds_c6d chat and several of us were quite excited over the idea of a dS/SPN crossover! In fact a few of us might have *cough* role played it for about half an hour.

dS is a huge, huge fandom, so I can't imagine you'd ever run into anyone who hasn't heard of it. LOL! Anyone who is anybody has writen dS, it seems, and OMG there are already hundreds of dS fic up at the AO3. Have you dropped by [livejournal.com profile] ds_noticeboard or the Crack Van's dS tag (http://community.livejournal.com/crack_van/tag/due+south)? Due South Seekrit Santa is set to go live in a few days, too. I mean if you know all this, ignore me, I'm just pimping! :) But aside from the whole Ray Wars (which don't let anyone fool you, are still sometimes fought) the fandom is lively and enormous. It's a beautiful thing.

I think it just really surprises me still. I mean I was literally introduced to the show by my grandmother. Nobody I talk to IRL knows anything about it, or ever seems to get why I like it. Then again I live in the midwest, where all my co-workers seem to watch only American Idol, So you think you can dance, and the office. (Except, ironically, the old ladies, who are all Twilight fans. Really.)

Oh hey pimpage. :) Let me just tuck those links away for later when it is not a godawful hour of the morning. I won't deny that I like one Ray better than the other, but I guess fandom needs to fight about something.
